There are so many cars out there. Some old. Some new. Some red. Some blue. Some that go from zero to 60 in ten seconds, and some, in only two. Rhyming aside, there are a lot of cool cars out there. Sure, most people can’t afford a million-dollar car, but that shouldn’t stop anyone from dreaming. Here we have eight of the most expensive cars in the world. We’ll leave out cars formerly owned by celebrities and other famous people, but these cars are cool without having been formally driven by Paul Newman.
Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita — $4.8 Million
The CCXR Trevita from Koenigsegg is the most expensive car on our list. Koenigsegg made something known as the “Koenigsegg proprietary diamond weave,” and the diamond part of that phrase is not just some fancy marketing phrase. They found a way to coat the carbon fibers of the CCXR Trevita with actual diamonds. With 1,004 horsepower and almost 800 foot-pound of torque, this car packs a lot of power. Luckily, it’s still street-legal.
Lamborghini Veneno — $4.5 Million
Veneno is Spanish for poison. Needless to say, driving this car has got to be pretty sick. This car can go from zero mph to 60 in about 2.9 seconds, and that’s all thanks to the 740 horsepower and the 6.5 V12 engine. Lamborghini built this car to celebrate their 50th anniversary as a company, and by the looks of things, that party was pretty awesome.
W Motors Lykan Hypersport — $3.4 Million
Have you ever seen a car with jewel-encrusted headlights? Well, you have if you’ve ever seen this car. The W Motors Lykan Hypersport is a Lebanese car that’s used mostly as a PR car for the police of Saudi Arabia, although it did also play a key role in the seventh installment of the “Fast & Furious” movie franchise. Just so you know, this car isn’t just pretty; it also goes from zero to over 60 mph in about 2.8 seconds. So, If you’re ever in Saudi Arabia, don’t steal anything. They’ll catch you in this car.
Ferrari F60 America — $2.5 Million
Nothing like a good, old-fashioned, Italian racing car. The F60 America is the type of car Ferrari is known for. The F60 is red, white, and blue all over; it’s more patriotic than the American flag. A little bit slower than the aforementioned cars, the Ferrari F60 America takes about 3.1 seconds to reach 60 mph from a full stop. But we’re not about to hold that against it.
Koenigsegg One — $2.0 Million
Koenigsegg makes our list yet again with their Koenigsegg One. The One costs about $2 million, which is pocket change if you’re a billionaire. This car is known as the Swedish mega-car, and one drive around the track will tell you why. It has speed and power for days. Don’t worry, if you ever have $2 million to spend on a car, just know that there’s no assembly required on the Koenigsegg One.
Aston Martin One-77 — $1.4 Million
Aston Martin, of James Bond fame, made a really beautiful car when they built the Aston Martin One. It too has a V12 engine, which produces 750 horsepower. If the roads and wind are just right, this car will go faster than 220 mph. Just think if Bond had a car chase in this car. Also, it only takes 3.5 seconds for the Aston Martin One to go from a full-stop to 60 miles per hour. That’s not bad, Q. Not bad at all.
Ferrari LaFerrari — $1.4 Million
Ferrari makes our list again with the beautiful LaFerrari — with its “suicide” doors and a sharp coat of paint. Few cars will look better on the road. This car goes from zero to 60 mph in just under three seconds, breaking the 124-mph barrier in about 7 seconds. Its top speed is about 217 miles per hour, which means you should be able to get to your destination about 10 minutes before you left.
Zenvo ST1 — $1.2 Million
Zenovo finishes this list with their $1.2 million ST1. This rich man’s budget car produces 1,104 horsepower and 1,054 foot-pounds of torque. Not bad for a V8 engine. And no one at the ridiculously-expensive-car club will ever know that your Zenovo ST1 is only a little more than $1 million.
